SERIES CONCEPT

 

Employees in this series prepare, or lead others and prepare, a full range of baked products at a state facility.

 

EXCLUSIONS

 

Employees involved in the preparation of food, other than baking, should be classified in the Cook, Food Service Worker, or Ingredient Room Worker series.

 

CLASS DISTINCTIONS

 

Baker 1

 

Work in this class involves the preparation of a full range of baked products at a state facility.  Duties may involve instructing residents assigned to the bakery on a temporary basis.

 

Baker 2

 

Employees in the class lead Bakers, Ingredient Room Workers, Food Service Workers, volunteers, inmates or residents assigned to work in  the bakery at a state facility on a regular basis.
