SERIES CONCEPT

This series includes employees in positions that operate gasoline and diesel powered vehicles for the purpose of transporting supplies, materials, equipment and people.

CLASS DISTINCTIONS

Driver

Employees in this class operate gasoline or diesel powered automobiles, buses, vans and light trucks transporting supplies, materials, equipment and people. Employees service and maintain assigned equipment.

Transport Driver

Employees in this class operate gasoline or diesel powered tractor-trailers and heavy trucks with gross weights of 22,000 pounds or more transporting supplies, materials and equipment to destinations inside and outside of Iowa. Employees service and maintain assigned equipment.
