SERIES CONCEPT

 

Positions in this series perform professional environmental engineering work requiring engineering education and/or experience.

 

EXCLUSIONS

 

Positions performing professional work in environmental and health protection programs not requiring professional engineering competencies.

 

CLASS DISTINCTIONS

 

Environmental Engineer

 

Positions in this class perform professional environmental engineering work in an environmental program.

 

Environmental Engineer Senior

 

Positions in this class develop engineering design standards and/or administrative rules to support agency programs related to facility design and management.  Employees have responsibility for a major portion of a pollution prevention or environmental control program and function as leadworkers.
