SECTION 3.65 TRAINEE/JOURNEY CLASSIFICATIONS

For positions that are not
covered by a collective bargaining agreement the trainee to journey concept is
built into the job classes listed below, except for the Information Technology
Specialist 1 and 2. The job classes
listed below have extended pay-grade ranges that are considered equal to the
trainee/journey concept. There are no
minimum time periods for progression through the pay grades. Based on the individuals’ qualifications,
management has the discretion to start the pay anywhere within the pay-grade
range with DAS-HRE approval.
