Succession Planning

The goal of succession planning is to anticipate and plan for turnover in order to minimize the impact on the organization’s service delivery capacity when it occurs. Whereas the focus of workforce planning is the entire organization, succession planning focuses on key positions that are critical to operations. It is linked closely with the organization’s strategic plans for the future and the competencies that will be needed.
